Don't be afraid

Shots of awe

Jason Silva came up with an idea to inspire people with quick SHOTS OF AWE!
He is posting 2-minute videos that inspire and will make you see things from new perspectives. These videos  are as "philosophical espresso shots" that are meant to reset the nervous systems of people and open our eyes so we might see the wonder around us as though it was for the first time.
He says he is addicted to cognitive extacy - the thrilling moment of realization; when all the dots connect and you see the big picture... and he wants us all to get hooked, too!
:)

Check ut one of those videos here:

A secret to catching up with your life!

So, in this age of constant and limitless opportunity offered to us by the internet, what exactly should we do with ourselves?
This is a difficult question, and it is this question that is responsible for the rising phenomena that is the Quarter-Life Crisis. The younger generations are breaking under the pressure previously felt by people in their 50s. The Mid-Life Crisis came on when you looked back on your life feeling you wasted half of it, and missed every opportunity you had to make something better of it. So you anxiously try to do something different, for fear of running out of time.
Twenty year olds nowadays feel the pressure from their family, friends, and society, to do something ‘worthwhile’ with their future. So they find solace in the only place they know they don’t have to fear external and unwanted expectations, they don’t have to change who they are to ‘fit in’. And that place is the internet. YouTube. Tumblr. Alternative websites like Collective Evolution. We are secretly hoping we somehow find a way out of all this mess. That somehow, somewhere, we will find a person, a video, a phrase, that triggers an idyllic revelation, and will tell us exactly what we have to do.

There is one secret, that is not-so-secret, that will let us find the answer we are searching for. And it is inside each and every one of us. It is our intuition. Our inner voice. Our gut-feeling. Whatever you wish to label it. We all have it. If we tune into this voice, we will never go wrong. It will guide us exactly where we want to go, it will make sure you always go after what will make you safe, happy, loved and fulfilled.
The tricky bit is blocking out all the external voices, the external expectations that cause all the pressure. These voices can be very loud, very firm, and they surround us every day. Learn to recognise them with patience. Ask yourself: why am I doing this? Why am I thinking this? Why am I feeling this? Is this my voice? Or is this someone else’s voice? Analyse the causes and the consequences of every major decision you have made or are being faced with. Was it made out of love? Or was it made due to pressure? Did I tell myself to do this? Or did someone else tell me to do this? Is this what I want to do? Or is this what someone else thinks I should do?
We are lucky we can use the internet as a tool to connect with people who are going through or who went through exactly what you are going through right now, as an added form of support. Do some research to prove to yourself that it is possible to be different and do things out of the ordinary. Only by being out of the ordinary can you become extraordinary. Learn to trust yourself. Trust your intuition. It will guide you. It will make you do things you might never have done. And it will feel right. When you have that feeling, never let it go.
Remember, the whole world is changing. And because we are children of this earth, we are changing too. Accept the fact that as a whole, everything on this planet is moving on to something different. By doing so, you will accept yourself, and you will allow your inner voice more room to speak out.
When it does, trust it.
Trust your intuition.

Change the game.

You know that feeling you get when you walk from one room to another and then forget why you changed rooms in the first place?  Lately I have had that same feeling about being on this planet.  I know I came down here for something important, but I just can’t quite remember what it was.
For many years I assumed without question that the ultimate purpose of my life was to become a successful person, to get educated, raise a family, have a career, make a lot of money, eventually retire and then finally, die. That seemed like a good enough reason to be here on Earth.
But somewhere along the way, I began to question whether that was really the ultimate goal of being alive.  I began to wonder if there was something more to me and to what was possible in this enterprise I called my life.
As I became more aware of the condition of our world, and the impact we humans are having on ourselves, each other and our beloved Earth, it began to appear strangely irresponsible to be striving only for personal individual success.  Please don’t get me wrong; it’s important to create a viable existence, and to take care of your family and loved ones. It’s terrific to gain the respect and admiration of your peers, certainly.  But to keep on winning a game you already won, to achieve and amass more wealth than you can ever spend, collect more things than you can ever use, seems, I don’t know, self indulgent.
To aspire just to be more successful, more comfortable, more insulated from the realities of the challenges we are facing as a species, is to aspire to live in the Penthouse in Hell, a nice section of a very bad town, a gated community in a place where nobody wants to live.
I often wonder about the logical conclusion of our current trajectory, about where this “game” is taking us. If present trends continue, vital resources will become even more scarce, and the gap between those of us who have way too much and those of us who don’t have nearly enough will get even wider, and the future will look something like this: tiny islands of opulence surrounded by oceans of misery, where the purpose of the military is to protect the haves from the have-nots.  Not my idea of a better tomorrow. My idea is an environmentally sustainable, spiritually fulfilling, socially just human presence on this beloved planet.
The fact is, I don’t think we need more people to be even more “comfortable”.  I think we need more people who are awake, and uncomfortable about the condition of our planetary home, and of our fellow humans.  People for whom it is simply unacceptable to live in a world that works too well for a very few, and not well at all for the great many, and who are inspired to do something about it.
So no. We are not here to win the game. We are here to change the game.

To give a good speech.

Good speech is not conventional. Good speech is personal and captivating.
The most important is to hold the attention of the audience.
Even if youd don't follow the rules of a classical speech-pattern that we all learn in shool.

Make in fun. Make it new. Make it you.

No fear

The thing is, when we are in fear mode, it stops us from thinking clearly and it certainly blocks our flow of communication with Spirit or our intuition. Life becomes a foggy haze and we’re unable to see our next steps with confidence and clarity.
